Brad and I are in the midst of buying our first home. This process has been exciting and stressful all rolled into one, but the word that keeps coming to mind when I dream about owning our first home is hospitality. I have a general definition of the word, welcoming people into your home and making them feel comfortable, however I want to learn more. I want to know the practical ways I can make my home hospitable. Is hospitality an adjective or an action, and I want to know if God values a hospitable home. I have a guess that He does; it’s just something I’ve never really taken the time to look at before. Brad and I both recognize this new home as a blessing, and we’d like to be intentional about turning it around and utilizing this home as a blessing to others. I’m sure hospitality fits in there somewhere, I’m just not quite sure how. I’ll keep you posted as I learn more about how to live out hospitality.
